SSD – PIONEERING SAFETY

Fahlke safety shutdown devices (SSD) are used worldwide by the gas industry for off-grid monitoring and safeguarding of pressure stages in pipeline systems. The innovative system is pioneering with respect to design, capabilities and technology.

Fahlke safety shutdown systems offer perfect protection against impermissible pressure build-up. This is achieved by the DIN EN 14382 certified safety shutdown device (SSD) consisting of a full-bore ball valve with a spring closing actuator and a pressure monitoring control.

The advantages: The system is piggable. This eliminates the need for an expensive bypass. Two independent seals of the SSD ball valve ensure reliable, leak-proof sealing of the pipeline. The double-seal system means that only one SSD is required in accordance with directives. The integrated high-precision AG 1 pressure pilots for monitoring the preset shut-off pressure make it possible to operate your pipeline up to the maximum permissible pressure.

Fahlke delivers a ready-to-operate tested valve unit with a type examination certificate.
